Gas filters and filter - separators

Gas filters have been supplied by our company since 1994 mainly for the Czech and Slovak markets, but they are also installed in gas plants in Ghana, Latvia, Pakistan, Austria, Russia and other countries. We manufacture both gas filters for filtering dry natural gas, as well as for filtering wet natural gas fitted with a coalescing filter insert for separating solid and liquid particles.

So far, our company has produced more than 2,000 pcs of gas filters for nominal pressures PN 16, PN 40, PN 63 and PN 100 and operating flow rates from 25 to 3,800 m3/h.

For a specific application, gas filters must be designed in such a way that the maximum operating flow specified in the catalog sheets is not exceeded under all operating conditions.

The calculation of the operating flow rate of the filter Q_p (m^3/h) from the entered converted flow rate Q_n (Nm^3/h) is performed at:

  • minimum operating pressure p_min (bar)
  • maximum operating temperature t_max (°C)

according to the formula taking into account the effect of gas compressibility and its temperature:

Q_n - calculated gas flow at a pressure of 101.325 kPa and a temperature of 0°C
Z_p - compressibility factor at operating conditions pmin and tmax
Z_n - compressibility factor at reference conditions of 101.325 kPa and 0°C

For an approximate calculation of the operating flow Q_p, it is possible to use a simplified formula:

Based on the customer's request, we will be happy to prepare a technical, price and term offer. In the event that none of the standard manufactured filters meet the parameters specified by the customer, we are able to design and supply an atypical gas filter, as our company provides strength and technological calculations and equipment construction with its own employees.

The tables below include gas filters supplied as standard and gas filters supplied to order according to the customer's specifications, both filters for the separation of solid particles ("dry filters") and filters for the separation of solid and liquid particles with a coalescing filter insert (" wet filters").
