Hatches for underground control stations

USE

Hatches are designed to close underground shafts, especially underground gas regulation stations, measuring lines located below the ground surface, odorant injection shafts, etc. They can be used wherever it is necessary to secure access to the equipment and at the same time maintain the required load capacity in the event of a car being run over.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE

The hatch, which forms the upper part of the concrete shaft, consists of a hatch door and a frame. The frame is welded to the reinforcement of the concrete shaft. The steel hatch door is firmly connected to the frame on one side by means of pins and opens upwards to the end position approx. 10° from the vertical. The steel hatch door is firmly connected to the frame on one side by means of pins and opens upwards to the end position approx. 10° from the vertical. For easy opening, hatch doors are equipped with springs that make them lighter. The end hatch is secured in the open position by means of a pull rod. By sinking the rod into the frame, all hatch doors are locked. One hatch door is equipped with a Chubb lock in the cover, the hatch door is designed in such a way that the remaining one can only be opened after lifting the hatch with the lock. The hatch door is also equipped on the inside with a gutter for draining rainwater that has penetrated the joints between the hatch doors. The gutters are fed into the collection gutters of the frame and the rainwater is drained through holes in the concrete module below ground level.

All accessible metal parts are interconnected. Two test terminals are located on the frame for connection to the object's grounding system.
